Senior Secondary Update

50th Annual Senior Academic Awards

At our recent 50th Senior Academic Awards, it was a privilege to announce and honour individuals who have made a significant contribution to our school in the academic, community and leadership fields. As always, it is inspiring to witness the award of PBC's most prestigious titles, School Dux and the forthcoming School Captains. Congratulations to Kai Meath (School Dux) and Talulah Ratcliffe (School Runner-Up Dux), who were aptly rewarded for their significant academic contribution to PBC over the years and being pioneers of our Variable Progression Program (VPP). Both Kai's and Talulah's contribution to our school shall never be forgotten as they now leave to forge successful careers post-schooling.

Senior Secondary Update

This week marks the commencement of the Year 12 External Exams, the final assessment for all QLD students across all General subjects. We wish all students the best of luck in these exams, occasions which our classes work towards for the last 24 months of learning. Should any Year 12 student have any queries regarding 'illness and misadventure' forms, or the operation of these exams they should contact the Senior Secondary Office in Y Block. On behalf of all staff here at PBC, we wish our Year 12's all the best in these exams.

Our Year 11 students have now commenced learning in Unit 3 of their subjects, effectively commencing the start of Year 12 cohort. Their learning and results are now contributing to their final ATAR results, as well as continuing to contribute to their QCE's, to be attained at the completion of 2021. We again wish our Year 11's all the best as they start what can be a challenging, but very rewarding final 12 months.

Finally, a congratulations and thankyou to all of our Senior Students who have performed and participated in end-of-year sporting, academic and artistic events. We have enjoyed great success through State Championships, Academic Awards, Dance Night and Under The Lights - just to name a few. We look forward to celebrating further at Arts and Sports Awards in the upcoming weeks.

Year 12 Graduation Ceremony & Formal Dinner

Guest tickets are on sale for the Year 12 Graduation Ceremony, held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on Wednesday 17 November, 2021. We are very excited to celebrate the achievements of this wonderful cohort of students on the night. A reminder that for all guests who are unable to attend, the entire event (including arrivals) will be live-streamed via the PBC Facebook Page.

For all updates regarding Graduation and the Formal Dinner, all parents and students should check their emails should anything change in relation to this event.
