Dear Parent, Caregiver,

Last week witnessed our first Optima Assemblies for 2023 with the Year 8 and 9 student award winners being presented with their certificates / badges.  Well done to the 390 students who were recognised for their, effort, behaviour, academic achievement, sports, arts and / or community service.  A special mention to the Year 8 cohort who achieved a record number of 164 awards being handed out. I would like to thank Snr Cnst Kurt Foessel, who helped to present the awards. This Wednesday we celebrate the achievements of the senior secondary year levels. 

You will probably be aware that vehicle access to the school off the M1 will be restricted from the end of this week. Local media, social media and Department of Transport have detailed plans of how to access the school off the M1 once the changes are in place. Students living in and around Tahiti Ave will need to be a lot more vigilant and aware of increased traffic volume. 

Gold Coast 6 (GC6) sports trial week is on Wednesday this week. Students have received emails about their preferred options and where they are to be for their practice session. 

I would like to acknowledge the nameless senior student(s) who paid for the tuckshop of the Year 7 student(s) when their cards / phones failed and well before any stress could kick in.  This selfless act as reported to us by the Year 7 students was fantastic.
