Our year so far…. 

Please find attached our newsletter outlining some of the things we have been up to so far this year.

It’s been a very busy year in the Murri Jarjum Room and with our students so far…. 

There have been visits by Universities, Deadly Choices programs, participating in the ATSIAP Challenge, Cluster Sport Day Activities, QATSIF Applications for our current Year 10 students, QATSIF Graduation Ceremony for our departing Year 12 students, NIB Summer School, Kari Foundation Scholarships (Year 10), NRL School to Work Program, NRL School to Work Youth Summit, Strong and Deadly Futures Program, AIME Mentor Program, staff training in Youth Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid, Primary School visits, study groups as well as putting together our amazing NAIDOC Celebrations and activity day.

As well as our day to day running of the room, we have been keeping track of and encouraging attendance, supporting our Murri Jarjum’s when they require assistance, keeping an eye on their wellbeing, keeping our kitchen stocked with healthy food choices, attending meetings with our students if they request support and just generally providing support for our students to make their educational journey the best we can.
