26-28 October saw 63 Year 11 students and 5 teachers attend the 2022 Biology camp at Morton Island. The students completed a range of field testing in a number of ecosystems on the Island, where they built their skills and understanding in collecting primary ecological data, but also had the opportunity to enjoy island life for 3 days while building on relationships between both students and teachers. Luckily the weather was outstanding allowing for snorkelling, swimming, sandboarding, beach sports and tours of the island where students spotted turtles, dolphins, fish, stingrays and even some sharks. Students also participated in the ever famous Biotic dress up night, where the classes competed for the top spot in a range of activities. The toughest competition was for winner of the 2022 best dressed, which went to our resident cat, Raisa Bielicka, whose signature ‘meow’ won the crowd over.
