Reds Go Riot!

The third Reds Go Riot PBC Comedy Night was an absolute hoot! A 150 strong crowd ranging from 2 to 82, every topic was open to slather!

Our fantastic Reds from across all year levels, smashed their first ever comedy gig after a month of weekly workshops with the dazzling Mandy Nolan, including a 1-1 session. Four weeks of developing ideas, building trust, and breaking down barriers. Despite their nerves, they rose to the challenge and went out there to massive applause and roars of laughter. They were so professional and really demonstrated leadership and the Reds spirit of Rise Every Day Stronger!

Special guests Erik the Dog and Joel Salom capped off the evening with their unique but hilarious act. Raffle prizes galore were drawn at the end to delighted faces.

We were able to raise $811 dollars that we will proudly donate to Boots For One And All Community to assist them in the already amazing work they're doing in our community and beyond.

Congratulations: Emma, Adi, Cash, Phoenix, Chanel, The Islas, Logan, Jack, Jade, Will and Tora. (Apologies to Tora's mum.) Much appreciation to Front Of House Mrs Hillcoat, Mel Allen - P&C President, Nat Hill, Cade on Tech, Mr Pasley and Lucas on cameras and to Mrs Wise representing the Executive Leadership Team.

Thank you to our donors: Sisterhood Coffee, Shingle Inn, Palm Beach SLSC, Home Of The Arts, Crema Espresso, Just Cuts - The Pines, Butcher's Table, The Shelf - The Pines, Totally Baked - The Pines, Currumbin RSL, Balboa Italian - Palm Beach, Boots and PBC SHS for the merch packs!

Big thanks to our PBC Alliance, P&C and our Executive Principal Mr Chris Capra for collectively supporting this initiative that is completely unique to our school. Huge gratitude to our school community for coming together to continue championing our diverse students in their journeys. Comedy allows our students to explore possibilities with curiosity rather than fear.

The shared experience of coming together to laugh is very special. It's an integral part of human interaction. More than that though, comedy is never just thoughtless entertainment; it often helps people cope with situations that are otherwise impossible to understand. We needed a laugh on Wednesday and gee whiz, did we laugh!
