Mens Health Week
Mens Health Week was 10-16 June.
Statistics show that:
- Men die 6 years younger then women
- boys are 60% more likely to leave school by the end of year 12
- 5% of primary parental care is taken by men
- Men account of 92% of workplace deaths and 72% of work related diseases
- Men and boys experience 72% of the health burden from injuries
- The majority of Government initiatives to improve gender equality focus on Women and Girls

Creating a safer world and taking a systemic approach to tacking issues men and boys face too is better for everyone.
Supporting your husband, brother, father and sons creates a healthy community. Encouraging your sons to seek medical or mental assistance is required to reduce stigma strongly associated.
