Executive Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Hundreds of our Year 9’s participated in work experience in the last week of Term 3. The reports that have come back from employers have been very impressive with staff feeling very proud of the efforts of students to engage in the workplace. So wonderful to hear about PBC students representing the school so well in the community. Thank you to Yvette Whittaker who coordinates this experience with assistance from Sonia Shreeve our pathways officer, no doubt it’s a massive undertaking with over 400 students in Year 9. We are hopeful that some connections have been made for students either for part time work or for traineeships/ apprenticeships in the near future.
The footings are underway in our new Sports Hall and we are looking forward to seeing this building emerge from the ground up during this term. There will be opportunities for our construction students to have site visits and do work experience as the build continues.

** Message from the Minister for Transport and Main Roads
In a world-first road safety initiative, new speed camera technology will soon target speeding drivers at selected school zones across Queensland.
Everyone has a role in keeping our roads safe. It is imperative drivers reduce their speed to the signed 40 km/h speed limit and be aware of activity by students on or near the road.
Speed cameras will only operate during school zone times at the selected schools.
Parents, and carers dropping off or picking up students are urged to comply with school zone speed limits. Those who slow down will not be penalised.

Acting Executive Principal
