We would love to hear from you! Please email us at news@pbc-shs.eq.edu.au with details of your student’s achievement and include at least one photo, and/or any links to media articles that we can share via our Parent Newsletter, internal communications and Facebook.

Junior AFL success

Congratulations to PBC's Jai Murray, Jack Jovanovic, Bailey Rawson, Maddox Iverach and Ethan Willett who competed at the QLD Schools AFL 10-12yrs State Championships in the South Coast team. Jai was named Captain and the team went through the entire carnival undefeated including semi finals and grand final to take out the State Championship. From this carnival a QLD state team was selected and Jai was named in the team which will travel to WA in August for the National Championships. What a fantastic result! Well done to all the boys and congratulations Jai for making the state team!

There was a follow up story in the Gold Coast Bulletin last week, on Jai. Jai has had great success as a surf life saver during the summer and junior AFL star in the winter! The whole year is covered! Well done Jai! https://bit.ly/2WUU9SM

Hockey

Congratulations to Jordyn Fuller, a member of the U13-19 South Coast Hockey team who won a silver medal at the Qld School Girls Hockey Championships in Cairns. Jordyn has also been selected for the U19 Qld team to tour New Zealand in September. Fantastic effort Jordyn!

Rugby Union

PBC's School Captain Toby Mayes was part of the South Coast Open Rugby Union side that competed in Brisbane last month. Toby was then selected into the Qld CHS Rugby Union side which played against QLD CCC side before the Reds match at Suncorp stadium on 7 June. What a wonderful opportunity! Congratulations Toby.

National Gymnastics

Congratulations to Lauren Fathers who has been selected into the QLD State Gymnastics team. Lauren is a national level 8 gymnast and will represent Queensland in the next school holidays. Lauren's hard work and determination is paying off. Well done Lauren and good luck!

Netball

Congratulations to Netball Excellence Athlete, Summer Woods who was selected into the QLD School Sport U12 Netball team, after representing South Coast School Sport at the QLD State Championships in Bundaberg from 19–23 June. Summer will represent QLD from the 14-20 September in Canberra to compete against ACT, NSW, NT, SA, VIC, and WA. Fantastic!
