Female Rugby League Sports Excellence Program 2023

PBC are excited to propose a Female Rugby League Sports Excellence Program for 2023.

With the recent success of the NRLW and the growth in participation numbers of females playing Rugby League, PBC is excited announce that we are conducting trials for a proposed Female Rugby League program commencing in 2023. In the rich tradition of the REDS sports excellence program this new program aims to provide an elite training and coaching program developed for gifted and talented sporting students that empowers them to pursue their sporting dreams.

Trial Details:

• Who: Yr 7 -10 students (in 2023)

• Date: Wednesday 3 August

• Time: 1:30-3:00pm

• Venue: PBC SHS’s RL oval

PBC 50th Anniversary Optima

The 50 Years Optima magazine has arrived and is for sale from our Uniform Shop for $30. Above is a sneak peak of some pages are here. There are 140 pages of PBC history all in one place and definitely a great keep sake for every RED! Huge thank you to PBC alumni Tahlia Moana and Michelle Hardwick plus PBC teacher Courtney Underwood for all their help getting this Optima together Thanks also to all the amazing PBC alumni, staff, ex-staff and community supporters that all contributed photos and memories.

The Gold Coast Oral Health Dental Van is at Palm Beach Currumbin State High for eligible children and adolescents. Their friendly staff will help you make an appointment at a time convenient to you.

International Homestay Families Needed

Got a spare room? Ever thought of being a Homestay host? Homestay families come in all shapes and sizes... they are married couples with or without kids, singles, singles with kids and grandparents too. Everyone has an opportunity to play a part in sharing their life, home and provide memories and cultural experiences to an international high school student.

Get paid more than $320 a week caring for one of our International high school students in your home.

Pre-order your 2022 PBC Optima Yearbook

Here is your chance to pre-order your 2022 Optima Yearbook for each of your students!! This is a fantastic keepsake for all Reds. With our school year back to normal with events and activities this year's yearbook is sure to be a great one! Also, celebrating 50 years throughout 2022 makes this year's yearbook all the more special. All students feature in the yearbook in their cohorts. There are also hundreds of action shots taken through the year and replicated in the yearbook. Faculties, house leaders, students and excellence program HODs all write articles. 

To secure your copy complete the attached form and hand in to the Finance office. The Yearbook is just $30 and will be available for collection from 18 November 2022.

The 2021 Optima Yearbook is still available and can be purchased from the Finance Window Tue-Thu 8am – 1pm for just $30. This year there is 138 pages of fun and colourful content! Messages from student leaders, house leaders and key staff. Photos, photos, photos and more photos of as many students as we could fit in. Stories for all departments. Excellence Program reports, major events highlights, Champion House news and a Farewell to Year 12 gallery. The magazine covers all faculties, all year levels and all programs.
