PBC Alliance Business Breakfast
Friday 3 June, the PBC Alliance held its Term 2 Breakfast. Our wonderful hospitality staff and students prepared a delicious breakfast for our guests.
Guest speakers included Allan Merlehan from the Community Bank Tugun (Bendigo Bank), a great supporter of our local community and our students and school. We also heard from Anthony Ikin, PBC alumni and Sports Hall of Fame recipient, a Global success, dance choreographer and motiviational speaker (IkinAchieve) who told his amazing and moving story of growing up 'different' in a footy family. His journey through school and into the years beyond. Anthony talked of finding success doing what he loves and always being true to his own personal story. So inspirational!
We also heard from the team at the Tallebudgera Outdoor Education Centre about their fantastic education program for young girls, Braving the Wilderness. PBC student, Lillian, gave her personal testimony about her experience of the program and how it has personally helped her. We are thrilled to report that, as a result of listening to Lillian's recount, one of our Alliance partners, Mr Michael Hart MP, has agreed to sponsor this program to ensure more PBC students can participate and benefit from it. Thank you Mr Hart!
We finished the breakfast talking about the upcoming 50 Year Celebrations this Saturday. We are excited to welcome everyone onto school grounds from 3pm.
