Dear Parents/Caregivers,

The last two years has seen many events cancelled.  Hardest hit in terms of performing outside of school has been the Creative Arts students.  Whilst the school has found ways to allow our Arts Students to shine, there have been no external competitions, until last week.  Dani McGlynn has provided a more in-depth report inside the newsletter, however I just wanted to say, well done to the students and staff involved in the GC Fanfare last week winning 3 Platinum Awards, a Gold Award and a Bronze Award.

The school will celebrate 50 years of education on Saturday with a Gala Day and the Ultimate Reunion Sunset soiree.  More information is available with this newsletter and across our social media platforms. We look forward to welcoming alumni and the whole community on Saturday.

Congratulations to the Chaplaincy Committee, led by Mary Ellen Klem, who last week ran two events that raised over $5000 to ensure that we can continue our Chaplain John at his current supporting students four days a week. 

The PBC Alliance had another sold out breakfast on Friday. It was great to hear Anthony Ikin’s (PBC Hall of Fame) inspirational story about his career, which has taken him around the world and the adversity that he has had to overcome. In addition, we heard from Lillian and the staff from Tallebudgera Outdoor Education Centre and the program that they run to support teenage girls navigate through personal trauma and adversity called Braving the Wilderness.   I would also like to acknowledge and thank Michael Hart MP – Burleigh for committing to sponsor the upcoming camp after hearing Lillian's story.
