NRL Youth Leadership Summit

One of our Year 11’s, Hayley Lyons, was selected from a large number of students from the Gold Coast to participate in the 2022 NRL Indigenous Youth Summit. In 2021 Hayley completed the Titans Deadly Futures Program, run in partnership with the Preston Campbell Foundation, and is a current participant of the NRL School to Work Program. Based on Hayley’s application, as well as her leadership, commitment to her studies and high attendance rate she has been selected to attend a 5 day camp in Sydney with other young leaders from Victoria, Queensland and NSW.

We are very proud of Hayley and wish her all the best in Sydney at the end of May.

About the NRL Summit

The Indigenous Youth Leadership Summit is an opportunity for participants to interact with other young leaders through a series of workshops, activities and discussions around leadership, culture, teamwork, positive perceptions and more.

The NRL School to Work initiative is an education an employment program supported by the Australian Government and the Gold Coast Titans.  The NRL utilises the positive profile of the game of Rugby League to support young First Nations Australians with work experience, mentoring and leadership opportunities to ensure they successfully complete school and transition into further education or employment.
