GC5 Cluster Day Activities
GC5 Cluster Sport Beach and Bush Walking
We had a glorious day exploring our backyard today. Congratulations to all students who walked 15 km from PBC up to and over Burleigh Headland with great attitudes and stamina. Looking forward to the next one.
Creative Arts Excellence
83 super excited Creative Arts Excellence students travelled with CAX staff to QPAC to see Frozen the Musical. We were blown away with the scale of the production! Such an exciting experience for all involved!
Music Excellence
On Wednesday 4th May, the Music Excellence students had the privilege of attending “Lights, Camera, Action” at the Concert Hall, QPAC in Brisbane.
This annual educational music concert, showcases the power of an orchestra through the language of soundtracks. This year we were very lucky to celebrate with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra celebrating the 90th birthday of the master of music: John Williams.
The orchestra performed many signature tunes that have endeared John Williams to millions of filmgoers over the years. Epic fanfares of Star Wars, swirling magic of Harry Potter, adventurous Indiana Jones, celestial ET and many many more.
The students thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic performance, as well as being impressed by the enormity and spectacle of the theatre building itself.
Afterwards, the students strolled through the Southbank gardens and had a bite to eat, before venturing forth to the Gallery of Modern Art where they soaked in the powerful pieces of Indigenous Australian art and many more contemporaries.
May the Forth be with you!
