Health Camp

Year 12s recently embarked on an adventurous journey, where they hiked and camped in a self sufficient manner for 3 days. This required them to carry all requirements in their packs which weighed 20kg+, trekking approximately 18 kilometres through Numinbah Valley including up some very steep hills, and cooking meals on small portable appliances. Whilst on this journey they were challenged to reflect on personal attributes and build their story of themselves now and into the future. Despite ending the 3 day hike sore and tired, both students and teachers felt motivated and connected by the experience. I am very proud of the efforts and growth from those who attended this camp. Sport and Recreation

In class the students have been developing a range of lifesaving skills and knowledge. On Thursday, those eligible will be assessed for the Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue), which is equivalent to the Surf Lifesaving Bronze Medallion. This valuable experience provides those students with an extra 4 QCE points as well as a qualification they can use to gain employment.
