ANZAC Day
PBC ANZAC Day Ceremony
On Friday morning, PBC held its annual ANZAC Day Ceremony where staff, students, and local members of our community were able to come together and commemorate those who have fought for our freedom; the Australian and New Zealand troops who served on the Western Front, those who served in conflicts and peacekeeping missions since, and those who continue to serve today. It was a truly beautiful ceremony.
The ceremony was followed by a Morning Tea for all specials guests, cadets and student leaders.
Thank you to all our special guests, staff, student leaders, wreath laying students, cadets, and music students who contributed.
ANZAC Day Dawn Service and Mid Morning March
Thank you to our School Captain, Isabella Edge who spoke beautifully at the Currumbin ANZAC Dawn Service as she reflected on the service and the sacrifices of our troops past and present. Bella’s stirring tribute to the youth of war perfectly represented her fellow peers, family and our community. Thank you to both Isabella and Tanu, our School Captains, for representing our school with such valour. For those wishing to watch Isabella's moving speech click the below link.
PBC students and staff also participated in the annual mid morning ANZAC Day march from Winders Park to the Currumbin RSL Club. Our Senior Year 12 leaders led our PBC students with pride to honour the courage and sacrifices of our ANZACS. PBC Vice-Captains, Lily and Jed represented PBC as wreath layers at the mid-morning service at Currumbin RSL.
