Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Term 1, with all the disruptions hopefully behind us, finishes next Friday with school recommencing on Tuesday 19 April.  A number of our events have been moved to Term 2, so it is going to be exceptionally busy from April to June. Term 2 events will include, School 50^th Anniversary Open Day, ANZAC Day, GC5 Sports Days, NAPLAN, end of semester assessments and a host of other events and activities.  

On Friday we have our first PBC Alliance breakfast of the year. The PBC Alliance exists to promote school and business partnerships. The Alliance has an extremely successful track record at facilitating student work placements, vocational education brokering and school sponsorship opportunities. The breakfast is a fully catered event with the Hospitality Students showcasing their skills. Our Covid-19 positive numbers have been slowly declining as the term progresses. The current protocols in place regarding testing, isolation and informing the school of positive cases will remain in place next term.

I will be taking Long Service Leave for the first three weeks of Term 2. John Cattoni, Principal of Currumbin SS, will be the Acting Principal whilst I am away. John is looking forward to working with the former Currumbin SS students and meeting the students from the larger PBC community.
