Rugby League

Last Wednesday the Rookie Reds travelled to Beenleigh to compete in the Tonie Carroll Cup for their first competitive matches for the year. With 9 of the squad unavailable due to U12 Oceanic trials on the same day and 2 more missing due to illness and injury the Reds travelled with only the minimum 17 players. That however would prove to be enough as we defeated Caloundra 3 Tries to 1, before going on to beat Beenleigh 5 tries to nil, Marsden B 4 tries to nil and finally Ipswich 2 Tries to nil. To only have 1 Try scored against us when playing much bigger opposition was easily the most pleasing aspect but we also scored some sensational team tries which showed that the Rookies had already learned what Reds Footy was.  Our player of the Tournament was our left centre Jaylon Russell, who led the way in Attack and Defence. Congratulations Boys!!!

Basketball

Congratulations to Ben Mitchell who has officially signed a Basketball scholarship with Florida Coastal Prep Sports Academy in the USA. Ben is a true example of hard work, perseverance and resilience. He has work tirelessly over the past 5 years and with absolute determination, secured a pathway to further his Basketball career. Well deserved Ben!

Skateboarding

Clongratulations to PBC's Chloe Covell Year 7 who came first place in the Open Female Australian Skateboarding League Street Championships in Melbourne (for the 2nd consecutive year). Amazing!!

PBC Leos

Huge congratulations to the PBC Leos who all got up on Sunday morning for Clean Up Australia Day! It was a big day filling plenty of bags while having a really good time. Great job Leos!
