PBC 50 Years Sports Dinner
Friday 4 March was the first of many celebrations for PBC’s 50 year Anniversary. On that evening we hosted a Gala Sports dinner where we acknowledged the countless champions who walked through our gates. Across 18 foundational sports we had 3 nominees chosen by our expert panels of present and past coaches to be considered for induction into the newly created Reds Hall of Fame. The winners on the night were awarded with a professionally drawn portrait caricature, a bottle of RED and adulation from their peers.

The evening was full of laughter, warmth and even the occasional tear as mentors were reunited with their champions and all reminisced on the proud tradition and culture of their beloved school. A gala sports evening actually became an evening of gratitude where all that attended were thankful for their time as a Red. #Foreverproudtobered
Over the past few weeks the other PBC Half Century REDs teams have been announced including AFL, Netball and Soccer.
The PBC 50 Years Reds Sports Dinner was not a fundraiser but a celebration of our history of sporting achievement. Our Hospitality students and staff did a phenomenal job of preparing and serving the delicious food at the dinner. The room looked amazing. The students were able to use this event as part of their assessment. All left over food was packaged into individual meals to be delivered to the victims of the SE QLD and Northern NSW floods with the help of our wonderful hospitality staff.
We would like to give a shoutout to our sponsors of the event including Backbone Kitchen & Bar, Tweed Seagulls RLFC, Coles The Pines, Gold Coast Titans, Gold Coast Suns, Rebel Sports Community Kickbacks Program. Thank you to all the staff who contributed to ensure a successful and celebratory night.
