GC5 Cluster Day

The GC5 Cluster Day planned for this Wednesday (9 March) has been postponed until later in the year. GC5 / Cluster Day 2 will go ahead as planned in Term 2. Permission notes still need to be returned and invoices will be sent out next week – please do not pay until you have received the invoice.

Sports Excellence News

RDK Sports International kicked off the Elite Athlete Curriculum last week with our Sports Excellence students.

An initiative of Study Gold Coast, Griffith University, Playrpath and RDK Sports International, the EAC will see students in sports excellence programs develop the tools for transitioning into elite sport as athletes and employees.

Last week we had Surf Ironwoman Champion Harriet Brown deliver a Female Athlete Health and Performance education session to the senior girls’ Touch Football program and Brisbane Roar S&C Coach Nathan Sherlock discuss elite habits with the junior boys’ Soccer.

We are looking forward to the future sessions of the Elite Athlete Curriculum.

PBC Optima Yearbook is available to all!!

The 2021 Optima Yearbook is $30 and includes 138 pages of fun and colourful content! There are messages from student leaders, house leaders and key staff. Photos, photos, photos and more photos of as many students as we could fit in. Enjoy stories from all departments. Excellence Program reports, major events highlights, Champion House news and a Farewell to Year 12 2021 gallery. The magazine covers all faculties, all year levels and all programs.

International Homestay Families Needed

Got a spare room? Ever thought of being a Homestay host? Homestay families come in all shapes and sizes... they are married couples with or without kids, singles, singles with kids and grandparents too. Everyone has an opportunity to play a part in sharing their life, home and provide memories and cultural experiences to an international high school student.

Get paid more than $320 a week caring for one of our International high school students in your home.

For parents of 2021 Year 12 graduates. 

Dear parents/Caregivers,

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you about our fantastic Link and Launch Program which offers support for Year 12 graduates post school here at PBC.

Is your 2021 past student engaged currently in employment, training or study?

Are they finding it difficult to ascertain their future goals?

Do they need assistance with their job searching?

Do they have an up to date, job specific resume?

Are they lacking motivation to get up in the morning?

Are they at Uni or undertaking a VET Course and require part time work?

Do they require assistance with driving lessons?

The PBC P&C AGM and General Meeting will be held on 15 March 2022 at 6:00pm in the PBC Trade Training Centre.
