We have had a wonderful start to 2022!

Our classrooms are a flurry of excitement and energy as our students engage in some innovative and challenging learning experiences! 

Instrumental Music ensemble rehearsals and lessons have begun last week. We have a fantastic group of instrumental music students that are busily preparing for Eisteddfods and Fanfare and are excited to be working with guest conductors and workshop presenters at our IM camps for 2022.

We welcome Mrs Tanya Mason who will be working with our Stings students on Thursdays, and Ms Kerri Buchanan who will be working with our ensembles on Fridays.

GC5 Cluster Days – CAX Experiences

Our CAX staff have been busily preparing some immersive experiences for all of our Creative Arts Excellence students during the GC5 Cluster Days this year.

All CAX students have been encouraged to attend these days as they will be working with industry professionals to extend their knowledge and skills. We also have a number of amazing excursions and incursions organised for our CAX students to experience.

Including a Frankenstein beatboxing workshop presented by HOTA, workshops from Zen Zen Zo Theatre, ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ show at QPAC, Life Drawing workshops, PBC Alumni working with our artists, trips to the Conservatorium of Music, Yoga and pilates strength sessions and an Excursion to GOMA to view the PBC winners of the Creative Generation State Schools Visual Art Awards! Wonderful opportunities for our current Visual artists to see the work of our 2021 students.

And finally, a very special trip to QPAC to see our 2022 Arts Ambassador Courtney Monsma take on the role of Anna in Frozen the Musical!

We look forward to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of PBC this year, and are busily planning a Celebration Arts Festival on Saturday 11 June.
