We encourage parents/caregivers to email your student’s excellent achievements to us. These achievements can be in The Arts, sporting, academic or community service. We would love to hear from you! Please email us at news@pbc-shs.eq.edu.au with details of your student’s achievement and include at least one photo, and/or any links to media articles that we can share. You can also share news with us via our Instagram DM (@pbcshs) or Facebook Messenger (@PalmBeachCurrumbinStateHigh). 

  

The PBC Girls Rugby League team participated in a Carnival held at Helensvale last term. It was the christening of these PBC girls’ jerseys and the girls just played better and better over the day, finishing with quite an upset win. Including the lead up training, they had heaps of fun, have made new friends and are super excited for what 2022 has to bring in terms of PBC Girls Rugby League. Fantastic effort girls!

  

Congratulations to PBC's Allie Hughes, who over the holidays, won the U15's Summer of Surf event in North Bondi. This was a great result considering the race had the 2021 Aussie gold medalist! Well done Allie.

 

Congratulations to PBC's Rico Haybittle, Surfing Excellence student, who was featured in the Summer Edition of Ocean Road Magazine. In August, Rico at just 14, won the Queensland U16 State Title for Junior Men in Surfing. Be sure to pick up the magazine so you can read about Rico's journey and dreams.

 

Congratulations to PBC’s Abby Boland and Dakota Newson and PBC alumni Bryah Gafa and Ruby Paton for their selection to the new Gold Coast Titans Netball Squad. We wish all the girls and the squad the best of luck competing in the Netball QLD Sapphire and Ruby series this year.
