Message from the Executive Principal
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
PBC outside of our local community is known as a sporting school. When you see our Academic, Performing Arts and Vocational Education results, our reputation should be along the lines of, “We attempt to be all things to all people.” We use our large size to offer a pathway to all students in which they will engage with and be successful. If you want to be a doctor with a hospitality background to secure part time work at university, we cater for that. If you want to be a bricklayer who runs their own business, we cater for that. If you want to work with people but not entirely sure in what capacity, we cater for that too (Certificate III in Health Services and the ATAR subject of Psychology). In encouraging the students to follow their pathway we have;
- One of the largest percentages of students undertaking an ATAR pathway on the Gold Coast
- The largest number of students studying a Vocational Qualification
- The largest number of students undertaking a school based apprenticeship or traineeship
In 2021 we had;
- 32 students receive an ATAR 90+
- 311 students receive a vocational qualification
- 40 students awarded a full Diploma before leaving school
- 99.8% of students receive their QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education)
Over the last two disrupted years, I could not be prouder of the PBC community in achieving these results.
