After our 2 week break of school holidays, the Leo’s Club are back for the last term of 2021. We inducted 3 new members this month and were presented the Leo’s Club of the Year award at our annual school house cup assembly. This month of October we made many donations and planned many events.

Mr Bullpitt came in to talk to us about the Dare 2 Be program and the Kokoda Challenge, where teams of students train weekly to build up their strength for the Kokoda Challenge that will take place in 2022. With Matilda moving the motion, Miranda second and all in favour, we donated $300 to help fund the program for the students. The Leo’s Club have also decided to make a team including Cooper, Adi, Miranda, Matilda, Kayo and Gracie for the challenge, with the Lion’s Club fully funding the team. PBC Leo’s also donated $400 to the Kmart Wishing Tree, where we will buy gifts for girls and boys, $200 each, for families in need. We also attended our monthly breakfast for the Currumbin Special School.

Coming up next month is the Breakfast for the Currumbin State School 2021 Leadership Team. This event, we will attend to discuss with the Year 6 students about the Leo’s Club and to join when they start their high school journey! We are also in the midst of nominating people for the 2022 Leo’s club Committee, with voting commencing next month.
