$20 Boss Market Day

Our Year 9 Economics and Business Students have recently participated in the $20 Boss Business Development Program. This has all been made possible by the generous support of the Bendigo Bank Tugun Community Branch who donated $20 per student, totalling over $2000 to make the event happen! $20 Boss is an entrepreneurial program that supports students to solve a real problem and helps them better understand their relationship with money.

Students were required to create a business that addresses a social/environmental issue within the school community. They were assessed on knowledge, application and communication of a business plan as well as their trade display on the school market day. The product (good or service) created had to address an identified issue/problem/gap in our local community. We had some amazing entries including Brownies to Beat Domestic Violence, Sweets and Succulents- Raising money for Suicide Awareness and many more.
