House Update

Our 4 Houses continue to battle it out in the quest for 2019 House Cup glory. Competitions as always, have been broad and varied with the aim to include every student at PBC. Recent competitions have included the Trick Shots Instagram based comp and a Skip Off @interhouse_comps. Congratulations to Ziggy Gillespie from the Spartans for taking out the win in the Trick Shots comp. His Trick Shot featured Ziggy launching a handball into a basket, by flipping and then catching his skateboard. Very impressive indeed. Shout out to the Vikings who had the highest participation in this competition!

The Skip Off tested both student’s stamina and skills through the longest skip and most double-unders comp. It was great to see so many students and teachers get involved.

2019 Track and Field Carnival

The 2019 Track and Field Carnival is fast approaching. Thursday 30 May is our selected events day and Friday 31 May is the official full school Carnival. There will be a great carnival atmosphere on the day, with many ways for students to have fun and be involved. Competitive and participation races will be held on the track, and field events will occur throughout the two days (see details below).

The Track and Field Carnival is the only day on the PBC calendar that brings all students together in competition and fun. House Leaders encourage all students to dress up in their House colours and represent their House with pride on the day. Athenians – Yellow; Spartans – Blue; Phoenicians – Red; Vikings – Green
Extra activities have been booked and are always a huge hit with the students. This year the activities include: Bubble Soccer, Giant Slide, Inflatable Obstacle Courses and Ninja Wall. To partake in these activities, students will need to purchase a wristband ($5). These will be on sale before school Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (carnival day). We recommend that wristbands are purchased before the day.

Any students wishing to be nominated for the 1500m, 3000m or hurdles for DISTRICT TRACK & FIELD must see Mrs Hart by the end of this week.
