Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Last Friday we were visited by Hon. Karen Andrews Minister for Home Affairs and Hon. Trevor Evans, Assistant Minister for Waste Reduction and Environmental Management, to discuss the school’s environmental credentials and sustainability program. The tour included a Q & A session with the Year 12 Geography students who asked some very articulate and probing questions about federal environmental policies.  

At this stage the latest round of COVID restrictions has an impact on school staff who are required to wear a mask in their staffroom if they can’t socially distance and adult visitors to the school, who are required to wear a mask until told otherwise. With the current restrictions we have delayed our NAIDOC Day recognition assembly until further information about lifting the restrictions is announced. Our School Track and Field Championships will still be going ahead next Thursday and Friday, with Friday being the main carnival and participation day.  We look forward to seeing all the students there in their house colours.
