Message from the Executive Principal
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Congratulations to the two PBC teams who entered the Secondary Schools Ethics Olympiad. PBC won both Gold and Bronze. Students discussed eight cases involving ethical issues such as Covid vaccinations, disposable fashion and defunding the police; they were mentally exhausted at the end of the day – all talked out, but very happy: ‘We wish school was like this every day’. Judges came from Universities across Australia and gave both teams a honourable mention for their knowledge of and ability to discuss ethics.
Congratulations to all the Year 12 students who received an award at their final Optima Awards Assembly last week. It was great to recognise the achievements of our senior students from late last year into Term 1 this year, including the students who were presented with their Diplomas. It is hard to believe that the Seniors only have 16 weeks (minus exam blocks) of scheduled classes to go.
The school has commenced planning for our 50th Anniversary next year. If you have any ideas for how to best celebrate 50 years of schooling at PBC, please let us know through any of our social media accounts or direct email.
