The PBC Leos have many ideas planned to help the community this Term 2.

The Annual Induction of new members occurred in Week 2. We had Peter Smith, president of the Lion’s Club, to induct our 13 new members as well as PBC Staff; Mr Kennedy, Mr Capra and Mrs Wise. We are proud to welcome these new members to the PBC Leos.

Andy Dunn came in to speak with us about Fred’s Place. Fred’s Place is helping the homeless by cooking them breakfast, having washing machines to wash their clothes, showers and helping them with Centrelink. However, they would like to improve the living space and they asked the PBC Leos for assistance.  The Leos donated $600 to Fred’s Place. Another possible donation we are considering this term is the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and adopting an animal (or two!).

Coming up next month we have the Gold Coast Beach Parade at Burleigh Heads, a practice concert for the retirement home at the Lion’s Den and a Barefoot Bowls for the Leos and their parents to come together and have some fun!
