Dear Parents and Caregivers,

NAPLAN tests for our Year 7 and 9 students commence tomorrow and run for the next nine school days. The diagnostic tests provide the school with information about how we are benchmarking our teaching and learning against the Australian Curriculum. For individual students, the tests provide a diagnostic snap shot of their skills and abilities.

Congratulations to Mary-Ellen Klem and her team of volunteers that hosted a sell out morning-tea last week at the Boat Shed to raise funds for our Chaplaincy Service. The funds raised ensure that we continue to have a Chaplain who offers youth support services to all students for seven days a fortnight. 

On Monday 29 March on the Thrower Road crossing, one of our students was struck by a vehicle at approximately 8:20am. In dealing with the incident, recording the vehicle’s details was missed (as they didn’t stop). If any community members witnessed the event or have camera footage of the incident, could you please contact the school so that we can assist the student and parent to resolve this matter.
