School Based Youth Health Nurse

The School Based Youth Health Nurse role at school is to support students and their families around issues such as:

• Sexual Health
• Relationships
• Growth and development
• Drugs and alcohol
• Contraception and STIs
• Hygiene
• Mental health
• Personal and family problems
• Healthy eating and physical activity

Your School Based Youth Health Nurse at PBC is Vanessa and Laura. Vanessa can be found in J Block each Monday and Laura will be there on Tuesdays. The SBYHN is sometimes booked with students, but students can knock on the door anytime to check-in and make an appointment. Walk-ins are also available. Students may also wish to book in with the SBYHN through their school Guidance Officer or Deputy Principal as well.
