The Link and Launch Program is now fully operational with Elaine Braniff already meeting with 2020 and 2019 graduate students to assist them in finding employment or further training. Vaping / Puff Pipes / E Cigarettes are currently a problem for Gold Coast high schools including ours. In the past week, approximately ten students have had the Student Code of Conduct applied to their behaviour. Today we called an assembly for the Year 7 to 9 students to (a) make them aware of the harm that vaping can do to them through a guest speaker (b) make them aware of the law through Snr Cnst Dave Sammons and (c) let them know what they can expect in terms of a school response if they bring vaping products onto the school grounds.
