Executive Principal's Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
It is hard to believe that the first month of schooling for 2021 is nearly over. Major events for the year so far and into next week include Optima Assemblies for Years 8 - 12 to celebrate semester 2, 2020 achievement, two very successful swimming carnivals, pre-season trials, team sports matches and Student Council activities such as BBQs and Valentine’s Day. Wednesday night will see our Enrolment Evening and Information Night for 2022 Excellence Programs in the Sports Hall preceded by our first P&C Meeting of the year on Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Trade Training Centre.
The new Crossing on Thrower Drive is nearly complete. Whilst this will increase the safety of students crossing the road and improve traffic flow, we have noticed that during peak times, traffic around the school precinct has become noticeably worse. Students who drive themselves to school and parents dropping off their children should aim to be here by 8:30am to allow for a bad traffic day.
