Know the 4T early signs of type 1 diabetes
World Diabetes Day was a reminder to us all that diabetes can affect children too. If your child is showing the 4T early signs — going to the toilet often, is constantly thirsty, is more tired than usual or is looking thinner — they may have diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a serious condition where your child’s body no longer produces insulin, an important hormone that helps turn glucose (sugar) into energy for their body. Knowing the 4T early signs and having your child tested can avoid serious complications.
