Optima Wind Ensemble
Instrumental Music students have been rehearsing in the hall for the past 5 weeks, turns out the acoustics are pretty great! The sound coming from each ensemble has been incredible and to celebrate what should l have been the IM program’s Gold Coast Eisteddfod week last week, the Optima Wind Ensemble recorded the piece Declaration Overture which is a favourite but hadn’t been played since Term 1. Enjoy the mighty Optima Wind Ensemble.

PBC Tennis Girls on the road to Rocky!!!
During Week 5 our Tennis Excellence students took on the best schools from around the Gold coast in the Regional round with the winners qualifying for the state finals in Rockhampton. The standard was exceptionally high and our students stood up to the test. Our girls made the final and went on to win it in a tough match against St Hilda’s School and will now compete at the QLD State finals!! Our boys played equally well and also made the final but came up just short against a very strong TSS team. Amazing effort and attitude by all of our players both on and off the court. Good luck to our girls in Rocky!!! GO REDS!!!
