All Shook Up – It is back on!

The PBC Musical team are excited to be able to offer our local community the exciting opportunity to come and shake rattle and roll to the Juke Box Musical Comedy “All Shook Up”. Due to COVID-19 PBC's production of "All Shook Up' was postponed however we are thrilled to report that the show will go on! Due to the border restrictions the location has changed and all performances will be held at the PBC School Hall. 

With over 130 students singing, dancing and acting to a live band, you will be immersed in the joy of Musical Theatre and join us in celebrating the talented artists we foster here at Pam Beach Currumbin High. “All Shook Up” is based around William Shakespeare’s 1602 Twelfth Night and built around a number of songs made famous by Elvis Presley.  Due to COVID seats will be limited so please book asap. Only three shows available. 

Tickets will go on sale from Monday 24 August.

Friday opening night - 6:30pm Friday 4 September,
Matinee - 1:00pm Saturday 5 September and
Closing night - 6:30pm Saturday 5 September 

Working Musicians Program

This week, the Working Musicians Program was visited by Pat Tierney, an Australian folk and blues artist. Pat shared with students valuable insight into what it takes to earn a living from your original music. It was a very inspirational afternoon. Thank you to Pat and all who were involved! 

Restaurant Week

It is time again to welcome you to book a table to support the Year 11 & 12 Hospitality Students catering for Restaurant Week. This is your opportunity to have a delicious 3 course meal, with canapes and drink on arrival for a very reasonable $45 per person. Book now for the 2nd & 3rd of September to avoid disappointment. We really look forward to seeing you this year.

Daffodil Day Fundraiser and Casual Dress Day

Friday 28 August 2020 is Daffodil Day and PBC are raising funds towards cancer research. All students are encouraged to wear Yellow to raise awareness and bring a Gold Coin Donation. Let's work together to help fight cancer.

Absences

Full Day

Parents/Caregivers must notify the school and provide an explanation of a student absence by 9.00am on the day of the absence. 

The priority for notification is:

TEXT MESSAGE – (0426305728) – provide student name, year level date and reason for absence e.g. Sick

OR

EMAIL – absences@pbc-shs.eq.edu.au – provide student name, date and reason for absence

Example Text/Email – “John Smith Y8 03/06/19 Sick”
