Full Circle Formals

Formal season is coming up and we would like to give a shoutout to local charity Full Circle Formals. Full Circle Formals collects second hand formal wear through donations and thrift stores and then gives them to underprivileged Australian youth to wear for their high school formals. Every child deserves to feel just as special as the next and through these donations FCF will be able to provide these children an opportunity that they never thought possible. Even though we are true believers in inner beauty, we just want to give these children the extra confidence and self appreciation we know they have inside by providing them an outfit that lets their personality shine.

If your family has any formal clothing no longer being used and you would like to donate towards this fantastic cause please drop it into PBC main reception.

Flu (influenza) is dangerous. In Australia, severe flu infections are the leading cause of hospitalisation for kids under the age of five. Annual vaccination is the best protection from the flu because the virus can change yearly. Vaccination is safe and free for Queensland children from six months to the age of five. Book an appointment with your GP or visit the Vaccination Matters website.

Heroes at Home is a series of fun and creative activities and electrical home safety information for students and families. It is a great way to introduce your child to electrical safety in the home. What is Positive Behaviour for Learning?

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole-school framework that we use in our school to promote positive behaviour. PBL helps us to develop a safe and supportive learning environment, build positive relationships and improve student learning outcomes.

Our school community has worked together to establish simple, clear and explicit expectations for behaviour. Student behaviour improves when students know what is expected of them and when good behaviour is recognised. Our students are explicitly taught the behaviours they need for success at school and beyond.

Our school takes a proactive, preventative approach, ensuring that all students receive the appropriate level of support to help them to succeed. Our PBL team constantly works to ensure that all students benefit and identified students receive additional support when needed.

Find out more about PBL by watching this video or visit the website.
