Principal's Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Last Tuesday night witnessed 13 brave and dedicated students get up in front of an audience of 200 people to do a stand-up comedy routine. The students have been working with Mandy Nolan, a national comedian in workshops over the past four weeks. Tugan Community Bank (Bendigo Bank) sponsored the workshops on application by Ms Erin Hull. The students were brilliant in their routines which included observational humour, political satire and joys of growing up in a digital age. Mandy and guest comedian Greg Sullivan also performed on the night. Well done to all those involved. You may be aware that the government has committed to air-conditioning all classrooms by the end of 2022. Our scoping paperwork arrived on Friday. We will turn this around as quickly as possible in the attempt to secure our classroom upgrades asap. With the air-conditioning commitment comes more solar panels (another government initiative) for the school, hopefully neutralising or at least partially off-setting a possible power consumption increase.
The school Musical Opening Night Performance is only a few Friday’s away on March 20. To accommodate the larger production we are off to Twin Towns. More information about tickets, dates and times are available from www.twintowns.com.au/showroom.
