PBC Alliance Review
Thank you to all of the wonderful PBC Alliance Partners that supported our students throughout the year including:
Bendigo Bank – Tugun Community Bank Branch for their continuing support of our school bus. The bus has travelled over 14,000kms this year taking our studnets as far as Toowoomba and Maroochydore for events including the Arts Workshop visits, Rugby League, Touch All Schools, Basketball and Soccer competitions.
Thank you to WHYse Choices, Mighty Minds, Currumbin RSL, Inspire Physiotherapy, Palm Beach Surf Club, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and MRAEL Ltd for supporting various programs including.
- PBC Mountain Bike team - No 3 team in Australian and 2 National Champions - Alliance support has provided a purpose-built trailer to carry 12 bikes and gear.
- PBC students with dyslexia - providing 10 C-Pens to aid students with dyslexia in the classroom.
- PBC faculties and students - providing Kinitisense software to help with HPE, Biology and Sports Excellence programs.
Thank you to Aurora Training Institute, Prestige Services Training and Ignite Education for supporting our student leavers with scholarships ensuring they have a great start to their futures. Thank you also to Griffith University, Bond University and Southern Cross University for their continued support of our senior students with course information and regular visits encouraging our students future career options as well as speaking to parents.
Thank you to the following partners of our AFL Sports Excellence Program: Leading Teams, Southport Sharks and Fraser Financial Services.
All PBC AFL teams made the state finals with the Junior Girls and Junior Boys both being crowned State Champions! The Senior Boys and Senior Girls both came Runner-Up State Champions.
Thank you to Veteran Mentors for providing one of students with a scholarship for their Junior Leadership Program. Jaxon enjoyed the camp very much and won the Student of Merit Award for the best performing student.
Captial Pest Management, Trade Glass, Burleigh Bears Rugby League Club, Currumbin Junior Ruby League Club and Meatsmiths Elanora.
The Rugby League program produced 8 state representatives and 2 national representatives this year.
In 2019 PBC's Joshua Boyle and Jackson Graham were the QLD Open Boys MR Shield Champions. The Surfing program produced 9 State Representatives and 3 National Representatives in Surfing this year.
