Vocial Ensemble

Our amazing Vocal Ensemble were recently filmed practicing some Christmas Carols. The practice session will feature on TV one night during the week of 23 December at 5:30pm on Nine Gold Coast News with Bruce and Eva  Be sure to look out for our students!

Certificate III in Drama

Information for Enrolment

This Southbank based Certificate III offers an introduction to the art and craft of acting and performance. The program delivers energetic, detailed and focused training in acting, body, and voice skills. Students also have the opportunity to explore the business of starting an acting and performance career in Australia. The course provides students with a sound base from which to develop their performance interests and further training. Students will study with industry experts in a distinctive and lively learning and training environment that culminates in a public performance project, and will be part of a thriving, unique educational and creative community. This qualification is designed to cover a broad range of knowledge and skills that apply to the Performing Arts industry.

The course is delivered over 1 year, one day a week. (Wednesday).  Upon completion, students can choose to study the Diploma of Screen & Media (Performance), then progress to the Bachelor of Acting Performance (with an audition) or Bachelor of Acting Drama and Production (no audition).

London Trip 2019

A group of keen PBC creative arts students and staff have hit the streets of London to check out the sights and experience much of the culture and arts London has to offer. Students have been to Hyde Park, Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel at Waterloo Station, experienced Underground Tube Travel, Musical Theatre Workshop with Weat End star ‘Vivian Carter’, Drama students saw West End Musical ‘Come from Away’, Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover, St Paul’s and the TATE Modern. Hung out at Trafalga Square, Pizza Express and enjoyed a Drama Workshop at the Royal Court Theatre. Students are loving the rich history and are in awe of the stunning architecture.

 

   

Year 9 Drama

In Term 4 Year 9 Drama have been studying Theatre in Education working with the Currumbin Prep students. Each week the students collaborate and perform with the students which culminates with a final performance. Some subjects that the students taught the students included Road Safety and Following your Dreams.
