Growing Good Men - Conversations that Count

On Thursday 27 February 2020, PBC will host a wonderful evening targeted to teenage boys and their parents/caregivers. There will be a number of well-known local personalitites along to discuss the business of Growing Good Men in today's world and how to start conversations that count with your teenager.

There will be key speakers including renowned local author Tim Baker (Editor Tracks/Surfing Life/Author) and National Rugby League personality John Lang plus another 2 personalities to be confirmed. More details to come. Be sure to save the date so you don't miss out on this opportunity.

Surfside Buslines

As of the start of Term 1 – 2020, the Surfside PM school buses will display a new school number which will be different to the AM and current PM school numbers. We advise all students and parents to check the Surfside School website for updates before Term 1 – 2020. www.surfside.com.au.

Has your school bus route changed?

Each year, some school bus routes and timetables may change due to new student enrolments or changes to school bell times. Please check with your local school bus operator before Term 1 begins to see if your school bus route or time is affected.

QuickSmart Pizza Party

Almost 70 students celebrated 30 weeks of hard work in Quicksmart this year, with Pizza and Miss Carol's renown icecream slice, underneath the trees in the quad. All students received a graduation certificate, and there were also special awards for students who had the highest attendance, growth in their results, success in the Flashcard Challenge and commitment to the program. Many thanks to teacher Aides Carol Johnstone, Liz Carter and Marissa Lawry, who through their professionalism and passion for supporting students ensures Quicksmart's ongoing success at PBC. 

Rock and Water

Rock and Water is a student program about self-regulation – students learn to be rocks when they need to be assertive and stand up for themselves; and to be water when they need to let things wash over them. The students enjoyed the program which included many activities, one of which was chopping a piece of wood in half with their bare hands!

PBC Optima Yearbook 2019

The 2019 Optima Yearbooks have arrived! This fantastic Yearbook is a wonderful and colourful magazine jam packed with loads of photos and articles from PBC students in all year levels during 2019. If you have pre-ordered your copy please ask your student to collect it from Student Services. If you havent pre-ordered and would like a copy they are available from Students Services for $30. Be quick, numbers are limited.

PBC Grand Opening Soiree

The PBC P&C bring to you in 2020 the Grand Opening Soiree for the Library+ precinct on Saturday 23 May at 6:30pm. This will be a wonderful celebration showcasing our beautiful new building and offering an opportunity for our school community, local business and Government supporters to come together for a fun and entertaining night. Be sure to save the date and keep an eye open for updates to the entertainment line up on the night.
