Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As we enter Week 8, the Year 10 and 11 students complete their exams and end of year assessments.  For the Year 11 students, this current exam period sees the students undertake the first summative assessment that will go towards their end of Year 12 marks.  This year, we have attempted to make the final two weeks of schooling more engaging for the junior secondary students with a range of programs incorporated into the alternate timetable including (depending on the year level), camps, work experience, Care Carnival and other educational and extra-curricular activities.  

The school has commenced a process of engagement with various state government departments and staff from the GCCC to build a new indoor sports facility that will support basketball, netball and a number of other sporting options. Whilst no official meetings have taken place and the school is still gathering information and contacts, we are hoping that in the future this idea becomes a reality and a much needed asset for the wider community.

The tuckshop demolition and reconstruction is on track for completion at this stage.  The Junior Secondary canteen has been catering for the whole school for over a week now and it appears that we are still delivering a quality service to the students.

The Saturday Markets will be having a Christmas Eve Markets this year at the school. 

The school will be sending home (via email) and promoting via social media an end of year PBC Update that will contain important 2020 information in the coming days.
