Schoolies 2019

I ask that all teens and parents/caregivers prepare well for a safe and memorable Schoolies (for all the right reasons). With Schoolies 2019 just around the corner, now is the perfect time for parents to run through the checklist and make use of resources available on the Safer Schoolies website. Plus – tune in for a Facebook Live event on Thursday, 31 October 2019 at 8:00pm to have all your questions answered by a panel of experienced Safer Schoolies personnel.

Year 12s can access up-to-date information at the SchooliesGC page and via a dedicated section for school leavers on the Safer Schoolies website. Featuring information on staying safe, rights and responsibilities and relationships and wellbeing, this is a must-visit before they head off on their end of school vacations, regardless of where they are going.

2020 Next Step survey

The Queensland Government will conduct its annual statewide survey of Year 12 completers in 2020. The Next Step survey is a brief, confidential survey that gains a comprehensive picture of the employment, study and life choices made by Queensland school completers in the year after they finish Year 12.

Between March and June next year, our current Year 12 students will receive a letter from the Minister for Education or a telephone call from the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office inviting you to complete the survey. To enable them to reach you, please ensure your contact details are correct in your learning account by logging into www.studentconnect.qcaa.qld.edu.au
