PBC's Library +Plus Project

The Library +Plus project is currently under construction on the location of the old library building. This new learning precinct will enhance school facilities in the form of a purpose built multi-storey facility comprising a modern, welcoming library with much needed additional classrooms and flexible, multipurpose space for students, staff and the broader community. The three-storey building will provide a large covered area at ground level and above, a brand-new library with the latest IT. The top level has nine general learning areas, which can be opened up to create expansive spaces for various teaching layouts, an examination hall and a teacher-training area. This space can also be used for events and functions hosted by students, the school or the community.

The project's construction is on time with the expected completion date being Monday 7 October. Currently the majority of the works are steel formation and concrete pouring. The final level suspended slab is due to be poured late this week. It is anticipated the roof will be constructed after the Easter holidays and this will see an escalation in works being undertaken as internal fit-out commences. Over 200 contractors have been inducted onto the site and on any given day there can be upwards of 80 workers.

The furnishing team has been selected and this group are responsible for the selection and layout of $215,000 worth of furniture.

PBC's Inagural Gala Dinner 

Palm Beach Currumbin State High School is preparing for its inaugural fundraising Gala to be held at the school Saturday 25 May 2019, bringing together our school community for a fun and memorable event and to raise funds for the new Library +Plus project. We hope that you will be able to join us on the evening.
