Executive Principal's Update
From the Executive Principal,
As Eisteddfod and Sports Seasons are in full swing at school at school, I’m sure that you have been watching the Olympics in France.

The school was extremely proud of Chloe Covell’s ability and determination to make the Olympic Final in Skateboarding whilst undertaking full time year 9 studies as a 14 year old. We look forward to Chloe’s return to school in the coming days. Featured pic of Chloe courtesy of Adam Head The Courier Mail.
Former PBC students Jackson Collins and Moesha Jackson won a silver medals in their respective events of K4 5000m and Open Water 10km Swim, and Tom Green part of the men's k2 500m team has won Bronze. Congratulations to our current and past students and their extremely noteworthy performances.
Reds Go Riot comedy night was held last week and the student performances on the night were again of the highest standard. Tugun Community Bank sponsorship ensured that we were again able to engage Many Nolan as a facilitator of the program and MC on the night. All funds raised from this well attended event go to Fight for Youth which is a program that supports a number of PBC students.
I would like to thank all the year 10 students and parents who attended our careers night. We had over 1000 people come through the school on the evening. The event will help students select the right subject mix for them whether they have identified a definite career path or aren’t quite sure just yet. Well done to the senior secondary staff who coordinated such a successful event. If you weren’t able to get to any of the providers or teachers on the night, please contact the senior secondary campus and they will be able to get you to the right staff member to assist you.
On a day last week, all happening at the same time was (1) school canteen had a fully blown Christmas in July menu, decorations and Wham x-mas carols (2) a duck dressed in school uniform proudly sitting in the office and (3) all our dinghys (small sailing boats) and boats being used in Currumbin Creek on a glorious sunny day in what is supposed to be the middle of winter. I am not sure that happens in many other schools.
