Youth Music Venture - PBC Music Excellence Students tour China

Congratulations to PBC Students Myles O'Grady and Griffin Light-Law. Myles and Griffin have been selected to perform with 5 other members of the Youth Music Venture in Chengdu, China. They are part of one of only two bands representing Australia to perform at the festival.

Queensland Training Awards

Well deserved recognition for Shaylee Borg, who is the winner of the South East Region Queensland Training Awards – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year. On Friday 19th July Shaylee Borg was presented this award held at Gold Coast Turf Club Events Centre. Congratulations Shaylee!

Basketball

Congratulations to Year 7 PBC Basketball Sports Excellence student Oscar Shaw who recently travelled to Port Macquarie to compete in the finals of the Spalding Waratah North Eastern Junior League, representing Byron Bay and their U14 team won! Oscar is now off to the Spalding Waratah Junior State Cup in Bathurst on 16 August!

National Youth Championships - Football

Congratulations to Year 11 PBC student Fenner Lee. Fenner is a dual QLD football (soccer) representative who has recently returned from the Football Australia National Youth Championships in Woollongong, where he was part of the Qld U16 White team. Fenner's team qualified for the Grand Final and ended up with a silver medal. Fenner will also be representing Qld U16 next month at the Australian Schoolboys Championships in Perth. We wish you the best of luck Fenner, and well done on your achievements thus far!!
