Executive Principal's Update
From the Executive Principal,
It is timely that last week we had our next round of Gold Coast South Interschool sports. By the time you read this, Chloe Covell, current PBC student will have competed in the Olympic Games. Along with Chloe, past students who are currently competing at the Olympics include; Mackenzie Arnold – Matildas; Tom Green and Jackson Collins - Kayak; and Moesha Johnson - Marathon Swimming. In addition to our current and former student talent, Neil Mackay – Head of Department Sports Excellence will be providing editorial and reporting commentary on the local ABC radio each morning.
Reds Go Riot showcases our emerging comedians on tonight at 6:30pm. Our students have been under the guidance of well known and popular comedian Mandy Nolan. It is a great night with the students and professional comedians presenting their sets. Tickets are $5 with all proceeds going to Fight for Youth, an organisation that supports a number of our students. As with many events at PBC, I would like to thank the Tugun Community Bank (Bendigo Bank) for their ongoing commitment to the school and our students.
Last week we had our information night for prospective 2025 year 7 students. If you know of anyone who is enrolling their child/ren into PBC next year, please let them know that our enrolments are now open.
There are many more events coming up in the next few weeks including SET Planning for the Year 10s, Restaurant Week, Music Eisteddfod performances, sports finals and lunch time House competitions just to name a few.
