Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Today we had a “soft launch” of the new Library Precinct. The Year 12 students undertook their exams on the top floor in the function centre and classrooms.  We hope to remove the construction fence late this week or early next week so that the students can use the undercover and garden spaces.

For Year 11 students, the first day next term sees the commencement of Unit 3 of their senior studies.  Unit 3 sees the start of summative assessment and counts towards end of school results. It is important that all Year 11 students are back at school and ready to go from Tuesday 8 October (as the Monday is a Public Holiday).

With so much happening, in brief; 

• Congratulations to Bianca Benigno and Tom Pasley who have been nominated as people who contribute greatly to the local environment preservation by the Gecko Environmental Group,
• Our Daffodil Day event(s) were again well supported and reflected the great work undertaken by Erin Woods, one of our enterprising and community minded students, 
• The PBC School Council welcomed its first student Erin Woods and Mike Kelly General Manager of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, as the Community Representative to the Council,
• Congratulations to the Senior Boys Soccer Team who won the School’s Premier League,
• Congratulations to the PBC Junior Secondary Debating Team who won the Gold Coast Schools Final.
