PBC Alliance News Update
Our first PBC Alliance Breakfast held at PBC on March 1st was a smashing success. With it's star studded line up, it was certainly an entertaining breakfast that had guests tapping their feet.
Kicking off with a City of Gold Coast update from Mr Ross Devine, the audience was informed on the development of the Palm Beach Aquatic Centre and what the re-development of the centre will bring to the area.
The theme of the breakfast then turned the spotlight on the Performing Arts, encompassing an enlightening update on all things showbiz with our very own Ms Loren Skyring, and featuring guest speaker PBC Alumni turned professional dancer Ms Cleo Lewis, who beguiled us with her enchanting stories from Paris and her time at Moulin Rouge. Finishing of the Performing Arts lineup were very own cast of the PBC Musical Production of The Wedding Singer, with an exclusive performance by Griffin Light-Law (who played Robbie Hart) and Isla Freer (who played Julia Gulia).
Ms Tracey Kearney from Prestige Service Training also joined us to anounce the winners of the Prestige Service Training Half-Scholarships. Congratulations to Year 11 PBC students Jaz Jovan and Tristan Auffret.
Rounding out the breakfast was Head of Sport and founding Alliance member Mr Neil Mackay, who spoke all things PBC Alliance.
A very special moment was shared with PBC Alliance's long standing supporter Councillor Daphne McDonald who was acknowledged for her contribution to PBC and the Alliance, and the community. Daphne was presented with a gift including an extraordinary artwork title Connecting Community from super talented PBC student Milla Rogers. Thankyou for your support over the years Daphne. I am certain we will continue to your smiling face at many Alliance events in future!
Thanks to all whom attended and made it a fantastic start to 2024! We appreciate your continued support.

What a great way to start 2024, and to get to know the PBC community, then to rub shoulders with the students, staff, local community and business community members. If you are a local business and are looking to support the PBC community, and network with other like minded individuals, come and check out the PBC Alliance Breakfast or head over to PBC Alliance and see what we are all about.
