Senior Secondary Update
We are now halfway through Term 1 of 2024 and congratulate all Senior Students on their commencement to the year, in what has been a typically busy start! Congratulations to all students of whom we were able to acknowledge at the recent Senior School OPTIMA Awards, recognising their superb achievements over the back end of 2023.
We wish all students the best of luck in upcoming assessment periods, with Year 11's undergoing a partial exam shutdown in Week 8 as well as Year 10 and 12 going on a full exam shutdown in Week 10 of this term.
Senior School Support Staffing Changes
We welcome back to the Senior School Ms Alyce Bradford who this weeks returns to her role as Principal - Senior Secondary after a stint as Principal of Miami State High. We also thank Mr Cameron Williams for his guidance and support of the Year 10 cohort as he moves back into his role within the Junior School Leadership team. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any Senior School support staff member to seek information or to assist your student. A complete list can be found here:

Assessment
Assessment Calendars for Years 10, 11 and 12 have been uploaded to the school website https://pbc-shs.eq.edu.au. Click on the curriculum tab and then under testing and assessment. This information will be useful for parents and students when planning their study timetable.
Year 11
The Year 11 partial shutdown timetable has been uploaded to the school website https://pbc-shs.eq.edu.au and made available for students on the student notices. These exams will take place on Thursday and Friday (week 8) and Monday (week 9).
This is not a full shutdown, in order to maximise learning opportunities in the classroom, meaning students must attend all scheduled classes on these days, as per their timetable, unless they have an exam scheduled. If an exam finishes during class time, students are required to return to their timetabled classes.
