In Week 3 we hosted the Mario Kart interhouse competition, which was run on the Nintendo Switch platform. It was a great event with 137 students and 45 teachers in attendance to try their hand at becoming PBC’s Mario Kart champion for 2024. Heats were held on Thursday and the top competitors from each house were selected to participate in the knockout finals series held on Friday. There were some entertaining races, some very close finishes, and the crowd definitely got their money’s worth! The final race went down to the wire with Oliver Cowan and Will Miglioranza battling out the lead until the final winning post. Of course, there could only be one winner, with Will taking the prize. Final standings were Vikings 1^st, Spartans 2^nd, Athenians 3^rd, Phoenicians 4^th.
